The Costal Club Fredriksvern was established in 1994 based on dedication to the locally designed and traditional wooden sailingboat, seilsjekte.

The sjekte has a long and impressive tradition in this district, thanks to the relentless drive to include new generations in the old skills and teachings of Ulabrand himself amongst others.

Should you come to Stavern, we recommend a stroll down to the harbor to view these unique and impeccable boats, always the great pride of its owner. Stavern is called The Dimple of Norway, and we call these boats The String of Pearls.
